I just thought I'd take this time to share with you an email I received a few days ago from a couple that are like family to me. Talk about making someone's day after reading such an encouraging email, this was one of those days. Do you happen to have close friends, regardless of distance or time, that they're there for you through good times and bad? I've been very blessed to have quite a number of people that really care and love me and support me in my journey. As you read this I bet you're one of them...hehehe. To these couple and to you that manage to make my day even brighter as you pray and support me and the ministry here in Cebu, thank you for just being sensitive to the things that you say and do and for serving with me as we lead people wherever we are into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Oh yeah, the email....

It's amazing to see how God works. Less than a year ago you were down on yourself for not working and thought you were wasting your life, and now look how He is using you to reach people in Cebu. I think your experience is a great example of waiting on God and continuing to trust in Him even though you didn't know what was next or when it would happen. We all go through periods of doubt and question God on His plans for our life. But now you can see why you needed to be in the Philippines. Not only to be there for your mom and family, but to be there with Quest and to help disciple other guys who need a friend - someone who will listen to them, pray with them, and keep them focused on God and living a life that is pleasing to Him. That's awesome! We serve a great God!
