INHALE...EXHALE



I've been working out ever since I can remember. I guess you could say I'm a "gym-aholic". With three deaths in my family caused by heart attack, high blood pressure and stroke you can't blame me for trying to stay healthy as I can. It's weird that before I moved to Cebu, I rarely eat rice, mostly salads, bread, some vegetables, fruits and meat. But as soon as I set foot in Cebu, I've been eating rice everyday but the great thing is I didn't gain weight. In fact, I've never been this lean since... since ah hold that thought...Since yesterday though, I've been sick like crazy and it's just frustrating to be in this situation cause you feel that you need to be part of everything that's happening in the church but you don't have the strength to even lift a pen. What's my point? Considering that I got certified to train people in the States plus the 8-year gym experience I shouldn't get sick right? WRONG!!! I'm sick like a dog and no amount of working out can help me get better. We all need rest. I believe this is God's way of telling me to slow down and like everyone else I'm vulnerable to any cold, flu and what-have-you. So to all you gym-aholics, don't push it too far at a point that you neglect your time with your family and your quiet time w/ the Lord. Trust me I know. (photo courtesy of Philip Lim)
